Autotrol 255 valve installation

For these procedures, you can use the dow. In the user manual, you can find instructions for setting this Autotrol Logix water softener. First, you need to set two programs: system size and time of the day. Then you must set the day of the week and regen time.

Afterward, adjust calendar override, amount of regenerant used in regeneration, estimate system capacity and adjust default hardness settings. Like other models, this also has 8 regeneration cycles for mineral tank plastic beans. This Autotrol water softener is designed for a large home and commercial applications. This valve is a suitable Autotrol controller.

The water softening system is also salt-based and consisted of a brain tank, mineral tank, and a control valve. The mineral tank has a capacity of 48 grain. The whole construction is delivered complete with bypass, tube adapters, and brine tank.

The placement of this Autrol valve should be above 20 feet from the drain. The regeneration of the mineral tank has 8 cycles. There are altogether 9 steps of installation explained in the user manual.

Then you should adjust the program system size and adjust the time of the day. The fourth step is to set time of the week and calendar override which is a standard feature on the controllers. Than set regen time which is several days between time-clock regeneration. The seventh step is to set salt amount, eight-step is to estimate the system capacity which is displayed in the total kilograins of hardness removed before regeneration is necessary.

The last step is to adjust default hardness settings. Like the previous model, this water softening system is salt-based and it consisted of a brain tank, mineral tank, and control valve. It also has a controller with the microprocessor which controls the regeneration and automatically starts it in regards to the flow rate of conditioned water through the included meter.

The controller has a special calendar override feature that must be set during the installation process. This Autotrol controller is suitable for Autotrol valve.

In general, you must set the system size, time of the day and time of a week, together with the calendar. Then you must set default time of regeneration regen time and several days between time-clock regeneration regen frequency. Adjust the regeneration amount of salt, estimate the system capacity displayed in total kilograins of hardness removed before the need to regenerate and adjust defaulted hardness settings.

Regeneration has manual and advanced settings and 8 cycles. The operation of this control valve can be adjusted between three modes: high capacity, standard efficiency and high efficiency low salt consumption. The product is included bypass. The system has grains capacity and non-volatile memory to preserve programmed settings for up to 99 years. These models mentioned on the list are only a smaller part of models offered by this brand. So, for example, you can also buy Autotrol series water conditioner control system, Autotrol tc model, Autotrol osmonics water softener i model, Autotrol model, Logix water softener, Autotrol model, ge Autotrol water softener and Pentair Autotrol water softener.

Description Qty. Do not overtighten pipe into Noryl piping boss. Dupont de Nemours and Company, Inc. In rare instances, the turbine wheel of the water meter may collect small particles of oxidized iron, eventually preventing the wheel from turning.

The turbine wheel may be serviced as follows Figure 20 : Injector Screen and Injector The injector is the component which creates the vacuum necessary to draw the brine into the water conditioner. Clean the injector and injector screen once a year in order to maintain proper water conditioning. Some locations may require more frequent injector and screen servicing. Refer to Figure 19 and complete the following steps to clean the injector screen and injector.

Shut off the water supply or put bypass valve s into bypass position. Relieve system pressure by opening valve number 6 at rear with a screwdriver Figure Loosen and remove the fasteners that hold the meter adapter to the tank adapter and the fasteners that hold the piping boss or bypass valve to the meter adapter. Unplug the wall mount transformer. Shut off water supply or put bypass valve s into bypass position and remove the rear cover.

Remove the meter adapter, being careful not to misplace any of the O-rings. Using a needle-nose pliers, grasp one of the four vanes of the gland and, pulling straight out, remove the gland from the adapter.

Using a screwdriver, unscrew and remove the injector screen and the injector cap. Carefully remove the turbine wheel from the housing. Using a toothbrush, lightly scrub the iron off the magnet. Iron buildup on the wheel surfaces may be removed by soaking the wheel in a mild sodium hydrosulfite e. Clean screen with a fine brush. Flush with water until clean. Using a needle-nose pliers, pull the injector straight out.

Squirt water into the injector screen recess of the valve body to flush debris out. Clean and flush injector. Lubricate the O-rings on the injector, injector cap, and injector screen with silicone lubricant and reinstall. Carefully reinstall the gland into the adapter, being certain that the shaft of the wheel seats into the bearing of the gland; press the gland all the way in, being sure the wheel rotates freely.

Important: Do not overtighten the plastic cap. Seat the cap lightly into position. Overtightening may cause breakage of the plastic cap that may not be immediately evident. Reinstall the meter adapter, O-rings, piping boss, or bypass valve, tighten all fasteners and reestablish the water supply to the system.

Reinstall cover, reconnect electric power, and reset the time of day. Check for proper water meter operation by opening a downstream faucet and observing the water flow indicator light on the i display. Screen Injector Brine Control Figure 20 Figure 19 18 Troubleshooting Your water conditioning system is designed and manufactured for efficient, low maintenance service.
